Devoted followers of the actress are urging that a person who breached a barrier and seized the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be detained or deported from Singapore.

A viral video reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside photographers and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being detained", though court documents showed that he was scheduled to attend court on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Record of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account includes recordings of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Show Disapproval Over the Star's Well-being

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said one more response on Instagram.

A number of fans also criticised event staff at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while others requested social media platforms to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande looked startled when she was approached by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Many of Singapore fans had waited to greet the performers of Wicked

Numerous of supporters had assembled in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore mall, including several who had waited for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a dual version of the popular stage show Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected bond between two very different characters.

The show itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, winning several for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
