Rescue organizations handled over five hundred calls for help across the area, mainly for property damage but also for collapsed vegetation and water accumulation.

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along much of eastern Queensland this week as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.
Tomorrow was forecast to be the most rainy day, with persistent severe weather risk expected across various areas of both regions.

Health officials cautioned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the current weather patterns.
