Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a California Traffic Collision
The visionary game developer, who helped create the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The celebrated video game developer passed away following his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, those closest to him, and all those touched by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
